Get to know me:
I have lived in Mokena for the past 14 years.I am a Governors State University Graduate. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I also have my Associates in Arts Degree from Joliet Junior College which I received in 2013. I am currently working on my Masters in Dual Language Teaching and Leadership from Roosevelt University. My career at MES began when I student taught in Mrs. Rueth's 3rd grade class in Spring 2016. I am overjoyed to be teaching 3rd grade dual language and honored to be part of such a wonderful team.
Something interesting about me is that I am both fluent in speaking and writing in English and Spanish. Both my parents were born in Mexico and have instilled their customs, heritage, and traditions in me. I love implementing my Spanish in my classroom and learning about my student's own cultures and traditions.
This is my third year as a dual language teacher, but 4rd year teaching. I am truly enjoying every second of it and learning all I can from my students!
